Sullivan @ 18 months
-Loves to be outside.
-Throws the ball well.
-Throws his mitt too.
-Throws his food, sippy cup and basically anything else he can get his hands on.
-Jumps and gets air.
-Jumps off the couches.
-Still trying to form words and not having any luck doing so. He's the strong silent type. :) He really seems to catch on to sign language though. I've decided to take a different approach to help him...1. Get rid of the binky. 2. Don't allow the girls to give in to his grunts and pointing to what he wants.
-Folds his arms(puts his wrists together, fingers pointed down) and bows his head during prayers.
-Started nursery at church and loved it at first, but after a few Sunday's he has started crying before we drop him off.
-Dances to anything with a beat. He does the head nod, the shoulder shake, the hip shake, the waist turn and currently learned the fist pump in the air. He's so cute.
-Very gentle with babies. I've been babysitting a newborn that he loves and is always trying to put his binky in his mouth.
-Hates our chickens, he's just the right size for them to peck him.
-Still takes 2-3 hr. naps once a day.
-Almost in size 24 month clothes, pants are still a little long.
-Weighs 28 1/2 pounds.
-On his 2nd pair of Jordans, size 7!
-Loves pushing his cars around on our hard wood floor.
-Collects his little cars on our window sills around the house.
-Still such a helper...he opens and closes the dishwasher, "tries" to pour the soap in, shuts it and knows what buttons to push to get it to start (not always a good thing).
-Gets in my kitchen drawers and empties them out. I do not want to ruin my cabinets with child proofing locks!
-Pushes chairs around in the kitchen so that he can climb up on the counter and get into things he's not supposed to.
-Loves to be picked up by his head with his hands on Jeff's forearms which actually hold all his weight (did that make any sense?). He loves to show off how strong he is.
-When he makes eye contact with a stranger, he immediately turns his head as if he is shy. Then he tries making eye contact again and does this over and over...usually makes the stranger melt and comment on how cute he is.
-Still does not like TV, though he likes to sit with Jeff when sports are on and will watch when I turn the DVD player on in the car (probably because he doesn't have anything else to do).
-Can point to his nose and belly button. And, he usually sticks his finger in his nose...ugh.
-LOVES his car/truck book and it has came in handy when he gets out of sorts during church.
-Hugs and gives open mouth kisses still.
-Went to the ENT yesterday and the doctor postponed his surgery AGAIN for at least 6 more months!

Here is the beginning of our Disney trip. I am still having major computer/camera issues, but hope to post more tonight...
It was so hot in California! I took Sullivan to the Bug's Life section in California Adventure while Jeff took K and London on a ride that they waited in line for over an hour for. They had this fun water park that we mostly hung out at. He didn't want to get wet, but had fun watching everyone else. When the rest of the gang joined us, it took about 2 seconds for K to get drenched.

Prepped and Ready to Go
It was a last minute decision to go to Disneyland, though we had talked about it for quite awhile. I guess Jeff and I aren't very decisive and we wait till the last minute on a lot of things, vacations included.
We wanted to enjoy Disney, but not "waste" money there (which is very easy to do). First, the girls decorated some mason jars and earned some cash to spend at Disney by doing extra chores around the house. We started this at the beginning of the new year and though they didn't earn very much, they thought that they had earned the money used to buy cotton candy. Our second surprise money saver was priceline.com. We've never used this website before, but thought we'd give it a shot. Basically you choose where you want to stay, what star rating you want the hotel and how much you are willing to pay for it. We ended up getting the Hilton for $50 a night. What a deal! I still remember when we stayed at a Super 8 for $85 a night in Anaheim. And, lastly...we only ate out once a day and it was usually dinner far away from the over priced food at Disney. We went to the store and stocked up on food and made our own lunch and breakfast.

Books, Coloring Books, Crayons, Puzzles, Mazes, Games, Snacks, Toys, Mad Libs and Jeff and I were prepared for singing songs, telling jokes and playing different car games such as 20 questions and the Alphabet game. Bringing all of these things made a 12 hour car ride so much more enjoyable and we only watched one DVD on the way up and one on the way back.

Catching Up
I have a love/hate relationship with the month of February. Jeff is gone for 3 of the 4 weeks, which I hate, but this gives me the opportunity to go stay with my family for a few days which I love.

Girls were invited to a cousins house for a sleepover.
We celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday by reading his books before bed. These books are perfect for London who is a beginner reader.
Here's my K...
She's a great student, very smart, wants to please. I've noticed that when she does her math she sometimes needs to use her fingers. I find nothing wrong with this, especially since I use my fingers to calculate at times too. She doesn't like anyone to see her using her fingers though, so she hides them underneath the table. She has also been into numbers a lot lately and has been using the calculator as entertainment. She adds up odd numbers that she finds on cereal boxes, clothing tags and other things. She has also asked my weight, height in inches and my age and showed me the final number, good thing I fudged a bit. If she asks you how much you weigh, please don't be offended.
We get 4 eggs a day from our chickens. That means we get more than 2 dozen eggs in a week. At one point a shelf in our fridge was devoted to all eggs. I would make scrambled eggs for breakfast and have deviled eggs as a side dish for dinner. It was just too much eggs for us in one day. Jeff was inspired and started making us breakfast in the mornings and since then we now have our egg population to a minimum. He's made the usual pancakes, waffles and french toast, but started researching different breakfast recipes that use eggs and now he makes us breakfast burritos, strussel cake and donuts. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to wake up to a warm breakfast that I didn't make.
The girls cleaned the bathroom and bedroom without complaining or fighting...that deserved a reward and they chose to have a playdate with friends the next day.
Sullivan reminds me of that scene in Lilo and Stitch where Stitch builds a mini San Francisco and pulls a Godzilla on it, destroying everything while growling. And, though he makes messes like a normal toddler boy/girl does, he happens to also be my only child that has helped me clean at that age. He loves to unload the dishes (not in the right spot yet, but we are working on that), throws all of his diapers in the garbage, loves mopping and sweeping and helping me pick up and put away toys. I can ask him simple tasks and he's eager to complete them. I'm sure at some age he will hate chores, but right now I am just grateful he's so helpful.
We made a trip to Utah for the blessing of our new nephew Jakob. We are slowly trying to decorate our home, so we tried out Tai Pan. I got lost a few times in this store. We ended up buying one thing, but wanting a thousand more.

Hot Beef Sundaes for dinner. Jeff gets to eat these when he attends a show in NY so we tried recreating them and they were so good and easy. First, I made mashed potatoes from the Pioneer Woman Cookbook (stick of butter, brick of cream cheese, half and half...yummy) and then topped them with top sirloin beef tips in gravy (or, use left over roast like me), then sour cream, shredded cheese and a cherry tomato on top.

For family night we had a short lesson on fasting. I can't believe that Kamryn is almost 8 (June) and that she will be experiencing fasting for her first time after her baptism. After our lesson we played this game called Knock your socks off. Basically you set out a sheet or blanket and you have to be touching it at all times. You start by saying all together "Knock, Knock, Knock your socks off." Then it is a free for all and you try to get each others socks off...no kicking though! It was a blast! The girls and I usually had to gang up on Jeff, he can really tuck those legs under his bum which made it nearly impossible to get his socks off.
Sullivan was an easy target and usually was the first one out. He also didn't like watching everyone gang up on me, he'd crawl into my lap and start crying and cling to me. I loved it! Maybe he is a Mamma's boy after all ;).

It has been a busy morning...
Where's Waldo? The room was clean this morning so he must have had a fun time making the mess!
There he is, my sweet boy fast asleep and it is only 9 in the morning. He definitely wore himself out! And now as he sleeps, I will clean up the messes he made...my life as a Mom is repetitive, but I wouldn't change it for the WORLD!!

President's Day. Kids were home from school so my sister Danielle, her kids and my parents came to visit me.

London collided with another little girl during Tavaci class and came home with a bruise/black eye that went away rather quickly. It was pretty swollen at first, but by the next day you could barely tell it was there.
