Kamryn's 7th Birthday

This post is quite late...sorry. Kamryn had a fantastic 7th birthday, if I say so myself. Her Aunt Ashley came for the weekend to help celebrate, so that in itself was the best present ever. The day before she had a little get together with friends (see post below) and then the actual day of her birthday started with her favorite blueberry pancakes, eggs and bacon. Lunch was a lunchable and dinner was Baked Potato Soup and rolls. She is quite the finicky eater, so on this day once a year she actually eats EVERYTHING I place before her...it was nice not to have to say 3 more bites and then you can be done. After breakfast she opened up her presents and she got some books, a puzzle, and two DS games. She was quite entertained the rest of the day between her new gifts and Ashley. After dinner, we had the traditional spank train, sang her Happy Birthday and ate cake and ice cream.

She decorated the cake by herself (well, with a little help from Ashley).

Hop 2 It

Kamryn was able to invite 4 friends for a small little birthday party to a bouncy castle place. They had a great time!

Eternally Bound

We started off by taking Sullivan to court to finalize the adoption.

We wasted no time and took him through the temple a few days later.

I started writing paragraphs full of every detail, but erased it all(that goes in my journal, right?). All that matters is that it was a day I will never forget, one of the BEST days of my life.

Cupcake Pops

Since Kamryn's birthday is during the summer, she got to take in treats during the last week of school. I'm a big fan of bakerella and so I've been dying to try to make these cute cupcake pops. They turned out...alright. Definitely not as cute as she makes them, but hey it was my first time trying. The kids in Kamryn's class loved them and I enjoyed the process.

And...this is what happens when you have a time consuming project that requires entertaining a baby in a high chair. The girls left their bowls of cereal on the counter and Sullivan somehow managed to grab them from the table and spill both of them. Clean up almost took as long as these cupcake pops took to make!

Track and Field

During Kamryn's last week of 1st grade, she had a track and field event where she participated in 3 different events. I tend to get "competitive parent syndrome" so I prepped myself about it not mattering how well she did, just that she was able to have loads of fun. And, she did just that. Kamryn is an active kid, she prefers to be out running or playing with friends more than anything. I mean seriously, just look at the photos and you can tell she was having the time of her life. I'm happy she had fun and that we were able to go and support her.

He's a lover, not a fighter

After Sullivan held hands and kissed these two baby girls (on different days) they had just about had enough of him and ended up turning their heads and wanted to get away from him. He was oblivious about it and still tried to mack on them.
