The Good and The Bad of Thanksgiving

The Good: Snow Day for the girls on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Bad: A blizzard dumps tons of snow on us right before Thanksgiving travel.

The Good: Enjoying all 3 kids at home during the day.
The Bad: Having all 3 kids whine, cry, argue and fight.

The Good: Leaving at the exact time we wanted to (usually doesn't happen).
The Bad: Getting stuck in our driveway on the way out.

The Good: Having a husband willing walk back to the house, grab a shovel and start digging us out while it is snowing and very windy.
The Bad: No gloves for him.

The Good: Looking forward to having another "man" in the family to help out in these sort of situations.
The Bad: He's only 2.

The Good: It only took us an hour and a half longer to drive to our destination.
The Bad: Driving 40 mph on the freeway.

The Good: Being surrounded by family.
The Bad: The chaos that sometimes is involved.

The Good: Seeing nephews and nieces that I haven't seen for a bit.
The Bad: They are growing up too quickly.

The Good: Remembering to bring my camera.
The Bad: Not taking any pictures.

The Good: Playing board games, Rock Band, watching movies and basically never having a dull moment.
The Bad: Not being able to participate in EVERYTHING (explanation to come).

The Good: Having a Mother-in-Law that knows how to put on an amazing Thanksgiving dinner.
The Bad: Not being able to eat any of it because I caught the flu, hence the not being able to participate in everything comment.

The Good: Having London come upstairs and wanting to sleep in our bedroom with us.
The Bad: Escorting her to the bathroom so she could throw up every 5 minutes!

The Good: Being sick at the same time as London, we hung out in bed ALL day snuggling.
The Bad: Feeling sick.

The Good: Having so many BLESSINGS!
The Bad: My list of things that I'm grateful for was HUGE!

The Good: Watching some great football games.
The Bad: Having both teams we were routing for barely lose.

The Good: Not seeing Kamryn much because she plays constantly with her cousin Emily.
The Bad: Not seeing Kamryn much.

The Good: Celebrating Spencer's Birthday.
The Bad: Not getting to sing the birthday song. He's such an attention hog and doesn't like it when people sing him Happy Birthday.

The Good: Shopping on Black Friday after the chaos was over and finding everything that we needed/wanted.
The Bad: Buying a few extra things that weren't really necessary.

The Good: Having my parents live not so far away from Jeff's family and being able to sneak away for an afternoon to see them.
The Bad: It was too short of a visit.

The Good: Craft day with the girls.
The Bad: Wish I could have made more!

The Good: The roads were great for traveling home.
The Bad: Our driveway wasn't cleared and we got stuck AGAIN and this time it took us longer to get out than the whole drive home. It was awful!

The Good: Having neighbors who plow our driveway.
The Bad: Not having a tractor or 4-wheeler to do it our self.
